Social Media can equal accountability

When I started my weightloss journey 5 years ago, I did not have a partner or close friend to keep me motivated during my journey. I turned to Facebook and posted pictures of my workouts and my meals. The response was very encouraging. I felt a duty to post daily to include a motivational meme. What was amazing to me is when I missed a day, I would receive a direct message asking what happened and others would say that I motivated them to lose the weight as well. For some reason, it felt like a duty, to workout, share, and inspire. Funny, I had accountability partners around the globe waiting for me to check-in at the gym and post my activity for the day.

Since last year due to COVID-19 quarantining at home, I have gave a few pounds. For my vision board, I wanted to put on there to lose 10 pounds. I was having a hard time to get started or motivated. Although, I continue to workout during COVID. I just need something to push me to focus more on my eating. Then there was this poster posted at Lions Park Gym advertising a Transformation Challenge sponsored by 5 Star Nutrition.

5 Star Nutrition will award the person who lose the most body fat and gain the most muscle weight will win $2500. The challenge is for the month of February. I went to the store and weighed-in. I weigh-in at 155.5 lbs.
